Selah
Coming from a Protestant background, I have always wanted to work with the youth or start a youth group. While a female youth leader is acceptable in many Protestant areas, I am not sure if it would be acceptable in the Catholic Church, simply because women cannot be Priests? Would that apply to youth leaders as well?
Theoketos
I know many Female Youth Ministers who very competent Catholic Youth Ministers. Go for it. (Make sure you form yourself also, I would recommend at least a BA in either Theology, Catechesis or Pastoral Ministry and then eventually a masters, just know that the pay and the hours stink.)
