it *could* have been the antichrist, your meal

as you said, that line of reasoning, is pretty far fetched
it's not wrong,,, but the point is that people seem to imply that because it's true, that they can be justified to give so much credence to the idea that he is,,, that that are justified to even dignify the accusation with so much concern and attention.

I know someone who is very charismatic and supports abortion. In their spare time, they ride horses. OMG, WHITE horses! Maybe one of their parents was secretly a Muslim too. After all, they have a kinda Arab sounding name.
Does this make them the antichrist too? :o Run for the hills. They're all around us.

These accusations of the antichrist being Obama are, in my honest and humble opinion, ridiculous. It's grasping at straws.
ANYONE could be the antichrist, as far as you know. The prophecies in Revelation will be true in their own way. We cannot and will not know until it's happening. It's not our place to know.
Maybe Obama is the antichrist. Maybe it's some poor unsuspecting guy that lives across the street from you. You can't know.
All these 'indicators', these 'proofs' that he's the antichrist? You're just interpreting Revelation in a way that makes you seem right. It doesn't mean it's true. The reason Nostradamus' prophecies became so well known is because they were all correct... well after the fact. People took events and interpreted his prophecies in a way that fit certain momentous occasions. This is the same thing. The only difference is that there's more to this prophecy. A lot more.

I say keep our attention where it really matters. If Obama is the antichrist, there's not a heck of a lot you can do about it anyway. Go to mass and say a rosary, but don't waste time sitting up in bed wondering if Jesus is on the way back for the Second Coming.

**EDIT**
Hehe, sorry, I didn't mean to go on such a rant.
No offence to anyone, of course. :D I say all that with the utmost respect.

Who ever said the White Rider was ever the Anti-Christ. When I think of the white rider, with a bow, with no arrows, I think of a Christian, because we are truly weaponless. For our weapons are not carnal, but mighty through the spirit for the pulling down of strongholds. So, the only weapon we have is the spirit, and therefore, it is not a weapon, but God acting through us.

So, the White Rider, with a bow with no arrows, weaponless in effect, is the church, which God will use to judge the world for judging us!

And to your second post, you are completely right. We shouldn't worry too much. In fact, I look forward to the day Jesus comes back. It could be 50 years or more from now, or it could be tomorrow. Either way, I will be looking forward to see him and worship him at his feet.

To be honest, I didn't pay a shred of attention to that whole reference to the white horse. I just saw something about Obama's mother being white, and though I'd run with that, since it seemed to be one of the more far fetched 'proofs'.

Yep. I did get majorly freaked the first night I read about a million claims that pointed to Obama as the antiChrist, but since then, when my mind drifts to him, I just pray for our nation, him, etc.
so no one's mentioned that verse i cited. it says that the anti christ or anti christs are those who deny that christ came in the flesh.

i guess it could be assumed that he's lying being a christian or not otrhtdox at all on the matter. but is that's what's being a assumed? it just seems to be a lot to think, is why i'm asking, so i wonder if that post was overlooked.
Yeah, anybody who denies Jesus Christ came in the flesh is Anti-Christ.

Obama, imho, is not the Anti-Christ, because the people in the highest circles of the occult are looking for someone born 50 years after Alister Crowley, who was considered the wickedest man alive at the turn of the century, who looks exactly like him. Obama, was born way before 1988, not to mention that Alister was Caucasion.

Why would those in the occult actually await the Anti-Christ when it's been prophesied (by the people who put forth the whole anti-Christ thing in the first place) that they're all going to be squashed in defeat? I thought they were occultists because they thought Christianity was bunk anyway. And the devil is a complete liar, so why do they trust him or his minions for valid prophecy in the first place? Just wondering. :)

Sometimes I freak myself thinking about 'spiritual warfare'. :) Not very often, but I've got one of those typical teenage 'overactive imaginations' (I guess;) ) so it's bound to happen once in a while. :D
...Whenever I start thinking like that though, I get a different picture in my mind. I see Michael the Archangel, that painting of him in red armour spearing a little demon thing. Or I see Mary. That image where she's standing on a snake.
The demons just can't stand up to power like that. They're swept away by the sheer power of good that radiates from Mary and Michael.
We've already won. Sure, I guess there's another battle to be fought, but it's already over. Satan is crushed and broken, so we shouldn't ever be concerned.
Everyone knows what I'm talking about, of course. I just thought it needed to be said on this thread. I saw what felt like an element of hysteria.

Oh obviously he doesn't lie to *them*. ;)

Wouldn't it be a very serious sin indeed for a believer to pay attention and give credence to an occult prophecy? Not to mention a Satanic one.

Well they're going to be defeated... I don't know if the devil is telling them something different now, but if they believe in the antiChrist in the first place, it just seems illogical to me that they're not Christian... dumb dumbdum dum DUMM!...b.

Yeah... but apparently not as serious of a sin as wondering if Obama might be the Antichrist on a Catholic forum... :P
