1. Petty teenage drama
2. Pressure to conform
3. Feeling like you're the only one who doesn't drink
4. Limitations to your freedom (strict class schedules, no real down time like in college)
5. College has a broader academic list and you can pick your classes (ie what you want to learn)
6. Becoming an independent individual and feeling like an adult (or what you define as "adult" in that stage) but still in the position of a minor (meaning if you try and engage an adult in mature dialogue you may not get taken seriously)
7. Don't see the real world yet (college, having a job, etc., helps you meet tons of new people)

I'm 24 and I still run into the first 4 things on your list, just replace teen with adult and there you go. In fact, i think there's more drama now than there ever was in high school. Though, I guess the 3rd really doesn't matter anymore, especially since I enjoy a fine beer from time to time...

and mead.

1. being generalized and misunderstood by most adults

2. parents.

3. friends doing stupid stuff

4. drama & cliques

5. getting ready for college.

6. vocation confusion. 'nuff said.

7. I once heard someone say that every kid between the ages of 16 and 18 with half a brain on their head questions their faith. That's so true.

8. I'm adding another on. Trying to balance school, homework, a job (20+hours a week in the spring and early fall), friends, youth group, apply for college & such, spend time with family, and still keep your bedroom clean. It's not possible to do it all.

And extracurricular reading...

I'm going through this RIGHT now. I hate it. I'm experiencing the WORST case of senioritis. It's killing me.

7 reasons I am so glad I'm not in high school anymore.

1. No real purpose, everything is so general.

2. No motivation. (Now I have rockets, well, a rocket)

3. In high school, I got A's with my eyes closed. Now I have to work for my grades and getting an A is hard.

4. In high school, mommy cooks most of my food for my, now I'm in charge of my kitchen. (I enjoy cooking, but sometimes time is an issue)

5. I have much cooler friends in much higher places now than I did then. And a lot of really cool (and rich) acquaintances.

6. Now I think I know my vocation. Then, I somewhat knew, but every now and then my world would get shaken by some weird idea.

7. You are so babied in high school. I can't think of a single class where the teacher doesn't spoon feed you.

Oh, and the school cafeteria food was pretty gross. Green eggs and cat taco salad, mmmmm.

Oh, and I had a very peculiar case of senioritis. It began like, halfway through my junior year, an unfortunately long case.
