Someday I'll wish upon a star
And wake up where the clouds are far
Behind me.
Where troubles melt like lemon drops
Away above the chimney tops
That's where you'll find me.....
I distinctly remember
it was in the bleak December, And each separate dying ember wrought its ghost upon the floor.
Eagerly I wished the morrow; vainly I had sought to borrow
From my books surcease of sorrow, sorrow for the lost Lenore,
For the rare and radiant maiden whom the angels name Lenore,
Nameless here forevermore.

i can practically hear you singing this to me....

i used to think Dorothy was singing about dying and going to Heaven...at least, that was my point of view...

as far as munchkins are concerned...those little people scared me just as much as the monkeys did.

Didn't see that one coming.

Anyway I found the video and watched it. Can't believe I took that movement for a hanging. Whoever came up with that theory needs to be...

We welcome you to Munchkin Land Tra la la la la la la la la la la la

Let the joyous news be spread
The wicked old witch at last is dead!

Ding-dong the witch is dead
Which old witch? The wicked witch
Ding-dong the wicked witch is dead
Wake up you sleepyhead
Rub your eyes, get out of bed
Wake up the wicked witch is dead
She's gone where the goblins go
Below - below - below

Yes I did SING it, not simply sung it. :topsy:

Oh man I love Poe.

kinda dark, I know...

But the raven still beguiling all my sad soul into smiling,
Straight I wheeled a cushioned seat in front of bird and bust and door;
Then, upon the velvet sinking, I betook myself to linking
Fancy unto fancy, thinking what this ominous bird of yore -
What this grim, ungainly, ghastly, gaunt, and ominous bird of yore
Meant in croaking `Nevermore.'

But I think I like "Annabel Lee" almost as much... especially this stanza...

But our love it was stronger by far than the love
Of those who were older than we-
Of many far wiser than we-
And neither the angels in heaven above,
Nor the demons down under the sea,
Can ever dissever my soul from the soul
Of the beautiful Annabel Lee.

not really sure why. :idontknow:
