i like quiet contemplation, either in a church, or at home in front of the icons. i also like the rosary (and should probably begin to pray it again). during the day, when preparing meals, or cleaning and stuff, i like to sing. i also voted dancing, because i love dancing and when i do, i want to do it for G-d, but i hardly ever dance in front of the icons (it's a small prayer space i have at home). kneeling and bowing is good, too.
however, when i'm in church, in front of the tabernacle with the body of Christ in it, i often feel like a hand pushing me down, gently but firmly - not just on my knees, but lying on the ground, face down (i'm always unsure if it's appropriate because i only saw this posture when a friend pronounced his perpetual vows) but i only do it when nobody is watching because i don't do it to show off or act or something, but just because i "have to" somehow. it feels like being in a flowery bed of roses and lilies.

i forgot to add that i also like writing. i write poetry and prayers, or just simply reflections sometimes.
Every time I attend Mass, it seems I find myself crying over this hymn, or crying over this reading, or crying as I walk up to receive, or crying as I return to my seat to pray in thanksgiving. I do this while praying at home or at Adoration, too.
same here - not always at home, but often at mass. recently, almost every time there is mention of Mary.

you're not the only one... :)

I checked kneeling, bowing, quiet prayer/contemplation and other: Singing.

I tend to shut down and get reeeeally distracted at praise and worship. Sometimes I get irritated too, I have ADD to some level I think. But, I find penetrating silence to be the best setting for worship for me. I was at a young adult retreat recently (which was slightly heretical but you don't want me to get into that) and there was a Festival of Praise (FOP) and I couldn't properly praise and worship our Lord in the Eucharist until the loud guitarist, obnoxious singers and people talking to Jesus out loud left the room to go to bed. Thank heavens there was a separate chapel for us quiet worshipers so I very frequently retreated to there.

I worship in so many different venues, and since I don't like to be left out! I can adapt to many styles.

When alone, I sit quietly with a rosary, meditate and listen for his voice.

The liturgy of St. John Chrysostom is the best! Kudos also to the liturgy of St. Basil the Great!

Taking the time to "talk" out loud to Him.

Thinking a prayer or just bowing my head during the day is wonderful ----but, when I say, "Lord,...." I usually start getting tears because I am, and He is, so present. I always tell Him how magnificent He is -How He is the most amazing Maker of all things visible and invisible and.... it just goes on --that to me is worship ---I don't ask for anything --I just tell Him how Magnificent I feel He is and that I am only looking at the sky and a mountain - all the distant galaxies that I can not comprehend- You are sustaining right now...and I thank Him for allowing me to be able to feel even a small little bit of His Glory -because for some reason there are those that do not know ---I see in there faces in the oncoming cars - the unhappiness and boredom and I feel the shine on my face because of You on this wonderfully cloudy day You've created, just driving, How genius You are ---How can you sustain and imagine such a wonderful creation, a creation I know only a grain of sand of ---Your Majesty is beyond what my little mind can know ---and yet, you have opened folds in my brain at times to get a glimpse of the Vastness that is You....
sorry I got carried away again...

Forgive me,
Jon
