LouisvilleFan
my cat sure doesnt act like hes lower than us.
Does your cat go to the store, buy its own food along with yours, and serve its own food while preparing your meals in the kitchen? Your cat must also have a job and a bank account to do those things... I've seen some impressive animal tricks, but this one's for the record books!
There is increasing evidence that gay men are hard-wired from birth toward homosexuality. This agrees with the impressions of many gays who report that they have known they were 'different' from their earliest days, and what many straights have been told by their gay (usually male gay) friends.
We are "hard-wired" for all kinds of messed up things. Bipolar disorder and high blood pressure are largely genetic. Does that mean bipolar people shouldn't seek treatment and take their medication and those with high blood pressure shouldn't eat healthy and exercise? We make our own choices in life with what we're given at birth. If homosexuality is part of the hand we're dealt, we respond with choices. It's the choices that define who we are, not the homosexuality itself.

What I’d like to know if people are supposed to be superior because we supposedly have immortal souls, because we are “rational animals”, because we enjoy conscious experience etc. What exactly is it that makes us somehow innately superior is my main question to Catholics here. Chimp DNA =/= Human DNA (That was supposed to be a does not equal symbol, but I don't know the alt-code.) I'd also argue (although I doubt anyone can prove it either correct or incorrect), that the human thought process is far and away above any non human organism. You know the answer. We are created in the image and likeness of God, and are given immortal souls. None of this can be said for other organisms. Of course there's no way we can prove this to you, if you won't accept Tradition and Scripture.

Lilllabettt
I know of some animals that eat their babies. Crocodiles .. hamsters. They eat their babies. If you know any human that has plans to eat her babies, please call 911, because it is wrong, no matter how many times they tell you it is "the most natural thing in the world." The difference between humans and animals is ... well how about just a couple differences ... Animals do not appreciate beauty. Animals do not have a moral system, which they then proceed to violate. Giolla
Sex is used only for reproduction You cannot reproduce with two males or with two females. Homosexuality is a choice. You might have thoughts but what you do with it your CHOICE.

Is this simply a religious assumption or does it claim to have some rational foundation.
