Yeah this is simple to avoid. Don't download anything off bit-torrent.

I think its kinda funny when if you get a virus trying to download something illegally - in an ironic kind of way.

WHAT MACS GOT A VIRUS BUT THEY NEVER!!!! :yahoo:

2 months ago there was a death virus that was set on macs it crashed many main frames and many computers but it was targeted to big company users so we didnt here much about it.

in September PC virus where made easier to convert to MAC because of new software upgrades sometimes making transfer PC document to mac easier makes that easier for viruses too.

last Month a major virus producer was quoted as saying Macs are easyer to infect then vista because of less protection

i dont know why a mac getting a virus is big news it happens often they just dont advertise that, bad for business

EXACTLY.
not to mention the fact that Apple is well-known for funding agendas that most people on here don't support. in the end, it's still safer and more efficient to stick with the good ol' PC.

i like when a mac crashes the owner usually freaks and acts like the world is over. a PC user gets a virus Pop up comes "windows has detected harmful Program trying to access your PC would you like windows to block the program" user pushes Block and they continue with there lives

Well I have to say that I've owned both. I had owned PCs for all of my life, but bought my first Mac a year ago.

Since buying my Mac, I barely turn on my PC.

I was tired of constantly having to tweak my PC to make it run faster. Weekly checks at what programs were running. Daily virus scans.

My Mac pwns my PC. except at gaming... but I don't do that really...

Wow you have problems. I just recently decided to defrag. Meh. As for virus scanning, maybe once in a while.

My problem is that I expect things to run and to run fast - like my mac does.

I don't want to wait 2 mins for XP to start up... my mac starts in 20-30 seconds.

I rarely ever download anything, and I was always very careful about what I did on the PC (I'm not a PC noob here).

But yet I bet I had to close Ctrl-Atl-Del firefox or some other program once a week, b\c the task manager says 'not responding'. Maybe its not the PC, maybe just the website.

I was tired of windows updates once a week.

I used to do a lot of movies on my PC. I used windows movie maker. Then one day it just stopped opening. No explanation, no reason. I can't uninstall it (since it comes with windows) and installing a new version didn't solve the problem.

I have built a PC before from the ground up. And yet... my Mac is still better. I even considered installing Mac OS-X on my PC because it runs so much better.

Imagine this... I've never... I say never... had to do the equivalent of a ctrl-alt-del on my mac because a program has locked up. Can you say the same on a PC? I've never ever had a program 'unexpectedly close'. I've never had to defrag either... never had a virus, never ran a virus scan.

I am sold. Best computer I have ever bought. Although for gaming, it can't do it.

Unsold. Toss it in the heap with the overs.
