Saint Therese
So what are you going to do for Lent? Penance? Prayers? Lets talk about it!
Vincent Vega
Hadn't thought about it yet... I think I'll probably give up all drinks but water again. That's a toughie for me. I don't know what I'll do for my spiritual penance(s) yet.
CatherineM
Try to keep up with my school work better. I get bored and procrastinate.
Mari Therese
My sister tried to give up homework for lent...my mom didn't buy it. I think I'm going to give up complaining, and practice more interior silence.
T-Bone _
I'll probably give up beer. (Does whiskey count as beer?)

Nihil Obstat
I'm thinking about sleeping on my floor 3 or 4 days a week. That's tough for me because I love my sleepy time, and have a really really nice bed.

Nihil Obstat
Ooh! That's a good one!
Just wondering about the balance between responsibility and 'fasting'. Just sleeping on the floor with nothing would be irresponsible in that I would be unhealthily cold, and wouldn't sleep much, which would impact school. On the other hand, if I use three quilts and four pillows and a bunch of sheets, it's almost no different from my bed. So I'm thinking about a single set of sheets, a single quilt, and one pillow... Only the fitted sheet between me and the floor, so no padding.
tinytherese
I'm such a phatmass addict. I'm giving that up. It often gets in the way with other things that I should be doing.

And this was all the time.... not just during lent lol anyways.... um.. Well.... for the longest time I have been sleeping 9-10 hours a night but I'm already trying to stop that. I think I'm good for 7 hours a night. I think 7 hours is what someone needs to function. As for lent.... I am trying to catch up with my bills with my mom's work. I'm already going to start tomorrow, but for Lent.. perhaps I should not spend money on myself like I did one year when I was trying to get better financially.... but that shouldn't be the only thing to give up, becuase that will be for a self-gain..... anyways um I was thinking of giving up Ramen Noodles, cuz I love that stuff.... also of course caffien, which I sord of give up every year now it seems. As for extra prayers... well..... I already try to pray more.

the lords sheep
I'm giving up Phatmass I think, because I think I spend WAY too much time on it. I also am thinking about giving up hot food except for maybe 2 days a week (hot as in temperature), because that's what I really love. I'll let you know what I decide... I also am going to try to read the Catechism through. I've already started it, but I think it would be very good for me.
