All it takes is a scandal that a reporter wants to make his bones with, or a some kind of Katrina fiasco that falls at his feet. It's only 4 months until hurricane season, and 2 months until tornado season.

Galloglasses' Alt

I'd actually give it 3-5 weeks more then 3-6 months.

He's already showing signs of slipping with regards to 'openness', lets see how he handles the oncoming weeks. I have a feeling the political stormfront will cool down for the moment.

i saw today that his approval ratings were slipping a few points. I wonder when they'll start asking him hard questions? I for one can't wait.

What is the media love affair? Does it include Fox? Hannity? Talk Radio in general? How about the numerous right wing newspapers?

I just saw a CNN piece criticizing Obama for his Cabnit position picks, just to mention that.

I think Obama is very smart in his use of the media. He's very like FDR in this respect. I think he's very strategic. -Katie

Time will tell. He seems pretty smart regarding this kind of thing, but obviously anyone is subject to the whims of the media. -Katie

Seeing as the media has never reported on anyone named "O'bama," I contend that it never started and will thus never end.

Obama, on the other hand... I don't see a love affair. Just because they like the man doesn't mean they're in love.
Actually the topic of the thread is the media love affair with President Hussein.
That's what we're talking about, I thought... I don't think the media is in love with anyone, I think the media loves newsworthy items-like the first black president. I'm sure they'll be just as quick to crucify him when it suits their needs, just like they did with Clinton. Again, though, what's up with the "O'bama" thing? I'm just curious. -Katie

+J.M.J.+
and yet there is a type of scandal with much of the South being frozen out, and yet the media ignores it (unlike with Bush & Katrina)
