that's why we need to pray for great saints to be raised up out of this and to be a shining example for Catholics and non-Catholics alike :sign:
Yes we do. -Katie
Why am I not surprised at the "liberal" in front of "Catholic Theologian." Maybe this guy has been looking for an excuse to make an attack because he's afraid his days may be numbered. The best defense is a good offense. The problem is he doesn't realize his pop gun isn't going to measure up against the Pope's howitzers in a real battle.
interesting point. could be that the Pope is looking to farm this guy out into his retirement, he knows it, and he wants to go out with a 'bang' (so to speak).

This is why we should trust the Holy Pontiff in his leadership of Mother Church being very not to question his acts of mercy. Because it can lead us to do things like this and dishonor the Vicar of Christ.
A liberal says something to embarrass himself? That's why they are called liberals.
So that's why I'm constantly sticking my foot in my mouth.

The political correctness of some groups knows no limit, because some people will only be satisfied if the Pope is required to apostatize from the Christian faith by saying something that is theologically indifferent and syncretistic.

Clearly advocating hatred of a specific group, e.g., the Jews as an ethnic group, is unacceptable, and promoting violence of any kind against a particular group is contrary to Christian charity, but the Pope (and any other Catholic for that matter) must confess the unique salvific role of Christ in relation to mankind, for to fail to do so would involve openly embracing heresy, and the Pope (and any other Catholic for that matter) cannot do that.

Anybody who is getting that idea hasn't done there research. Too bad for them.

Me too. A sad little chuckle.

And God bless our papa, keep him safe and holy.

But to many people theologian dude is just being reasonable and responsible person because clearly the pope has no idea what he is doing. Remember people only learn whats going on from headlines, and would CNN mislead them???

I think #2 bothers me more.
For some reason Germany has a problem with Holocaust denial.
