Amazing is a relative term. I would say technology and the availablility of similar items has progressed to the point that this is interesting, but no longer amazing.

Second, it's not a toy, but a tool. It may be played with as a toy, but its toyness is based on perception, whereas its toolness is inherent.

You're not reading my posts. I never said this post should be in the lame board, nor did I say that Google earth was lame. You need to deal with my arguments instead of buildgin straw men.

By the way, why woujld Google Earth want to include oceans? That makes three quarters of their maps BORING.

Maybe three quarters of the earth is wild, exciting, and untamed even by our modern technology, law enforcement, and global systems of government.
