Thank God. In years to come when she asks her parents about the scar they can tell her that it is a reminder that she once carried a pierced heart like the Sacred Heart, and each stitch represents about 100 people praying for her continued good health.

Wonderful news! :) Praise be to God!

I made a trip to the only Adoration chapel in the state/diocese today to pray for her, and definitely overjoyed she's going to be fine!

Hello Pham-

Me, Peyton, and Shea's parents are at home. Shea and her grandma are spending the night at the hospital. I just got done with homework with Peyton. I will be taking her to school, and then heading back up early tomorrow.

Here are some pictures from the day.

This is Addison in her hospital gown.

She was a brave little girl, and was very inquisitive in observation (before surgery).

I didn't want to let her go

She had a little cough in the morning... we woke her up at 430am to give her some pedialyte when we noticed the cough. Her lungs were clear, so they took her in.

We would get pages with updates.. this page let us know that she was out of surgery and doing well.

This is how Addie looked after surgery. I wish I could say she was pain free and comfortable, but I can't. I was pretty good through the surgery, but once I saw her, and looked in her eyes, I knew she was in pain. We can't pick her up yet.. so I sang my song to her and put my pinky in her hand. We both pretty much lost it. I felt for Addison and for Shea.. To see your child there, in pain, and not being able to directly help is rough, to say the least. We just thanked God for getting all of us this far, and placed our continued trust in Him for the rest of our journey.

A family friend picked up Peyton from school and brought her to the hospital. She had a bag full of hand-made get well cards from everyone in her class. We read them all together and laugh and cried. They were really sweet. I was quite jealous that some 1st graders have better art and drawing skills than I do. LOL.. When the news that the surgery went well and Addie was in recovery, the principal went to Peyton's class to tell them... and they all said "YAY GOD!!!!". Peyton tells the story well. :) As it turned out, everyone went to Mass instead of a Rosary.. from what we heard, many of the parents went to the Mass as well.

As Peyton cannot visit Addison, we showed her pictures of the day. She kept asking if the hole was gone. We said yes, and she was relieved.

I just got off the phone with Shea and her temp is down to normal (she had a slight fever earlier, most probably related to the cough earlier today). She is wimpering alittle, but the lights are turned down low in her room, and they are play the mobile from her crib.

Updates will be forthcoming...

but..

Thank you for all your prayers and sacrifices on her (and our) behalf. We are truly blessed to have such a wonderful phamily.

(and thank you Rachael for all your help..you are fierce as all get out :) )

I am going to say some prayers with Peyton and tuck her in bed.

Thank you so very much!!

JMJ,

Jason

Wow, praise God! Seriously, praise him. How good a God we truly have. I am in shock as to how He works in the lives of those who love Him not only through letting this surgery be guided by His hands, but by bringing together such a community of Christians to gather in prayer and love.....

*sniff*

As somebody who was making and taking phone calls along with Rach yesterday, I always knew we [the pham] were close, but really grasped the reality of that yesterday. Prayers from literally around the world, and all because we rally together. :) Glory to Him...

And I told Jason yesterday...I don't have a devotion to the rosary. But because I like him, I did the rosary with EWTN and that STUPID ROSARY GIRL who makes me want to set myself on fire...her VOICE, arggggh. But I figured it would make my efforts more efficacious. ;)

God is so good. :))
