Ok, I see what you were talking about, C'Mom.

January 22, 2009. Congress is passing legislation "National Emergency Centers Act or HR 645" to "direct the Secretary of Homeland Security to establish national emergency centers on military installations."

What the H are they preparing for? Federal control of digital television. Over 20,000 uniformed military to be deployed into the US. A court ruling that declares warrantless wiretaps perfectly legal. Compulsory military for our children. And now this?

And all within the past 6 months... if that. Again, jiminy christmas.

Note that the act demands that "the Secretary of Homeland Security shall establish not fewer than 6 national emergency centers on military installations." Not "no more than 6" ...but at the very least 6 centers. They want a lot of these emergency centers.

And if these are national emergency centers, then these would be FEMA camps, wouldn't they? Which means that with the declaration of a national emergency, the Federal Government can do whatever they want with these camps.

This is expected. Obama has yet to surprise me. Kinda funny I think. People start questioning him and it's like, hey, he's a far left person...it's expected.

I take comfort in that the Pope :pope: is filling the diocese vacancies pretty quickely and trying to unite the separated parts.

Obama will advance his agenda. And the Church will be ready to respond along with many other Christians.

Are you afraid of the government being able to put people in camps concentrating them in strategic locations?

:)

True.

But Bush was President when the order to begin making arrangements for 20,000 uniformed military to be deployed into our own cities between now and 2012. And Bush was also still President when the secret Federal court declared the secret Federal wiretap program to be legal, because the ruling actually came down last fall. So, if partisan jabs are to be made, I have to say that this is a "republicrat" thing.

Why would he? Like Apotheoun said, what could be wrong with concentration camps all strategically located all over the US? It's probably day care or something.

O.K.,

With HR645 we would have a neat and safe place to hold people during national emergencies. These may also include the emergencies caused by political malcontents.

This coupled with the speach that the current occupant of the white house made on the 20th of July in 2008 where he said he wanted a civilian national security force as strong and well funded as the military, and the tone become a bit more sinister.

It was a very short series of steps that led to the formation of the S.S., and the other fun-filled elements in WWII.

Let the merriment and glee begin...
