SSPX chapels in the US (zoom out to see some in Alaska and Hawaii too)

add that to the FSSP masses in the US:
http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?ie=UTF8&amp....238281&z=4

and this doesn't account for all the diocesan ones either... the Extraordinary Form of the Roman Rite is on the rise! Te Deum Laudamus!

[mod]SSPX links are still not allowed on the phorum. --Era Might[/mod] Here's the list for England. Turns out there's one in Liverpool, which would make it the only place in Liverpool offering the TLM.

Let's keep in mind that just because the excommunications were lifted, doesn't mean SSPX is now in full communion with Rome. Until the Church says specifically that's it's OK to do so, I would avoid their Masses.

Oh I agree. Though I can't speak for Aloysius, I think he was just pointing out that, if they are fully reconciled, their chapels will greatly increase the number of places offering the TLM.

Here's the corresponding UK map: http://maps.google.com/maps/ms?hl=en&i...12a3bb7308b14ee

Wow. There is one in my diocese and I did not even know it. I haven't even heard of it before. Wow. Very exciting. More prayers for them. :sign:

the tone of the SSPX indicates they are really serious about fulfilling everything necessary for full communion, and the actions of Rome indicate that there is little left for the SSPX to do; Rome is working hard right now on specifically what type of structure they're going to have. the question right now is not IF but WHEN

Well when this happens are they going to have to get the approval of the bishop whose diocese they are in before they can rightly give the sacraments there?

they will likely be given a structure which does not subject them to the local diocesan bishops, but subjects them to their bishops and then directly to the Pope himself. they're not going to accept anything less, and Rome seems quite willing to give them something like that (possibly in the form of an Apostolic Administration, or an International Diocese.. the Personal Prelaturue possibility would still likely keep this protection from the local bishops)

Is there anything else like this in the Church?

What if the Bishop does not want them there? My Bishop sadly wouldn't.

that is why they will be protected if they reunite. I don't think there is anything currently in the Church with such a canonical structure, but it's not unprecedented for something to be directly answerable to the Pope alone and granted freedom through any diocese. Rome will definitely protect them from the diocesan bishops.

There used to be one in my diocese, but it's not on the map. Must have closed down.

I would hope at least the Diocese would have some chance at a say in the matters of locations.
I suppose I feel that way as we did have the EF offered in my Diocese, yet they still entered our Diocese (against the Bishop's wishes of course).

I had heard that about TAR, but not about the SSPX. It would make sense, though. Perhaps Rome will give that to SSPX too.
