Nihil Obstat
@%#$ French and their silent t's...
Actually most of us just drop syllables at random. Talking is more efficient, and everyone knows what we're saying anyway. We realize that most of the rest of the world doesn't do it that way, which is why you never really hear it, but it's how we roll. For instance, if I wanted to say "This new Mountain Dew is very tasty," it would sound like this: "Te nu mun du s vur tsy." "Phatmass is a very solid Catholic site full of interesting people and valuable resources" becomes "Phms s vur sld C'lic ie fl trestn ple an valble reces." Don't tell anyone. It's a bit of a national pride thing.

We get our energy from photosynthesis. You know they term "green thumb"? Based in fact. Misleading though, really. We Canadians are so nice and polite, we don't kill animals for food. We just eat grass. That's why our lawns are immaculate. We eat cows, but it's more for the symbolic aspect rather than nutritional value.

I really like fine grass, sorta like what they use on golf greens, but a little silkier. I'm a big fan of poplar leaf garnish too. Good and good for you. It's not that it's evil to kill animals. It's just that we're polite to everyone, including animals. A farmer goes to slaughter the pigs, but obviously they don't want to be killed, and really, how can you say no? So rude. They're so excluding and intolerant. Well actually that's a broad generalization. All walls must have easily accessible doors that are properly labelled in both official languages. Doors may never be locked- it's discriminatory against people who don't own keys, people who can't afford to get keys, and people who have physical disabilities that prevent them from using keys. We prefer hedges though. A tasty snack when you're on the run. The thing about plants is that you need to eat lots to keep the energy up, so we eat all day long. It's ok though. We don't get fat because we have to walk everywhere. We're still all stuck with Model T's because the newfangled models haven't been imported lately, and in any case usually there's too much snow to get into a car.
