oh, don't be a coward.

Nothing ever gets done by waiting to be brave. It just doesn't happen.

Every girl likes to be told she is pretty. Maybe "you're the most beautiful woman I have ever seen" though. Maybe "You have the most gorgeous smile and eyes" That will suffice.

Sitting on your bum waiting weekend after weekend to "muster up courage" is NOT the way to go about it.

good points.
What about something like, "I think your physical apperance indicates that you are both physically healthy (not carying any genetic defects) and likely to be well suited for producing healthy offspring, would you like to get some coffee?"

:detective:

(no one steal that one, it's mine :annoyed: )
how um romantic. I like the part about getting coffee though.

rose wrought of iron

Take the initiative!! Girls love that. Seriously. If you make the first move the odds are/should be in your favor. And hey, what's the worst that could happen?

I went to the woods because I wished to live deliberately, to front only the essential facts of life, and see if I could not learn what it had to teach, and not, when I came to die, discover that I had not lived.

NOW get your butt over there and tell that girl she's beautiful!

Assuming that the trauma from the incident doesn't cause him to become a desolate hermit, living out the rest of his fear-paralyzed days in the seclusion of his own home....

But hey, what else does he have to lose!

every time I look at this thread her face is etched ever deeper in my mind and so a momentum is establishing aplomb in me, and shall hopefully bud forth in a sincere utterance of loving flirtation toward her.

Yet now I must get back to this very interesting book I am reading.

And btw here is another nice Dead Poets Society quote to strengthen us:

They're not that different from you, are they? Same haircuts. Full of hormones, just like you. Invincible, just like you feel. The world is their oyster. They believe they're destined for great things, just like many of you, their eyes are full of hope, just like you. Did they wait until it was too late to make from their lives even one iota of what they were capable? Because, you see gentlemen, these boys are now fertilizing daffodils. But if you listen real close, you can hear them whisper their legacy to you. Go on, lean in. Listen, you hear it? - - Carpe - - hear it? - - Carpe, carpe diem, seize the day boys, make your lives extraordinary.

Unlike TTM <_<
yeah, you too probably would. Like Bert and Ernie. or Abbot and Costello. Or the Black Addar and Baldrick...

Okay, maybe not Baldrick.

Maybe you should just sit back and do nothing until you miraculously end up married to this woman with three kids. In the meantime, just pretend you don't notice her at all. women LOVE it when guys make them guess--especially when the guy is too nervous to ask her out to anything. They LOVE that stuff. Bonus points if you have her number and don't call her.

Just to make sure we are clear...I'm kidding of course. I think I'm with everybody else when I say go for it. Definitely go for it. If I were in your situation, I might not go so far as to tell her she is the most beautiful woman you have ever seen. I's probably ask her to some sort of date. I'd probably mention that I like her on the date. But that's just me I guess--I'm a math nerd, whereas you're a poet. If you think she's the kind of woman who would be flattered by more of a bold approach, then hey, go for it.

Just have confidence in yourself. You'll make the right decision.
