http://www.theatlantic.com/doc/200903/archbishop-canterbury My grandfather is an Episcopalian Priest so I'm somewhat aquainted with Williams and his work. I find himm interesting, I thought you all might enjoy the article.

Apotheoun
Poor Rowan Williams! I left Anglicanism more than twenty years ago, and I have never regretted that decision.

I mean I understand you are not going to agree with him a homosexuality but I think there is more to his thought than just capitulation and timid leadership. The Archbishop simply does not have the same power as the Pope. He wrote a really interesting book on Dostoevsky and Russian Orthodox faith. Hassan
I do agree with you all that his path seems to be a tragic one. I think it will be interesting to see how the Anglican Church get's through the next few decades. I know the article mentioned the problems comming after Elizabeth dies, but I think there are some even deeper ones.

What's important is that Williams agrees with the truth, as taught by the Church (and found in the Bible), which he doesn't.

Saint Therese
It goes way beyond his 'position' on homosexuality. He's doing his best to change the church into his image.

Saint Therese
He's a leader of the church, who is doing his best to promote a teaching contrary to all Christian faith and teaching. Would it be using too strong language to say he's an anti-Christ? A false-prophet?
