I remember a private revelation from Mary (not sure if it was approved yet or not) that Satan will sometimes put the thought into our heads that we can't carry our crosses and call us things like "idiots" to encourage us to put them down... this makes sense to me, because it's discouraging. When I'm so down on myself I can barely function, I know I don't accomplish anything positive.

"Thank you, it's a gift from God" is my motto. Seriously... an old lady in Gatlinburg once told me I looked like Prince William, but that was before I grew the goatee. icelandic_iceskater
I've always thought of humility kind of as seeing yourself in the eyes of God. Like, being proud of your honest work, not putting yourself down to be less than you are (that always bothers me), but at the same time accepting & trying to improve your shortcomings.
