Limbaugh show is funny ha-ha
Most of my friends can’t stand his show
I think he is hilarious
But that’s just me

One time at work (construction site) I was listening to rock music and the painter ax me to change the station from that “dopesucking music” I agreed and changed the station to “rush (Limbaugh)” he, the painter then threw the radio out the of the 2nd floor window and said “I hate that guy”

I just watched it on youtube. He'd definitely as good as if not better than Obama at playing the rhetoric game.

He makes a lot of valid points regarding Obama (and I liked the Barney Frank/ Chris Dodd comments) but if he really, truly, deeply believed everything that he said today, he would not have mocked and derided and belittled Congressman Ron Paul the way he did during the campaigning last year.

Limbaugh is one of the pundits that shout and shout and shout at the shortfallings of the left (which are many and numerous) and yet take a relatively very reserved, quiet stance when those that are suppose to be his own ("Conservatives" and Republicans) are guilty of the very same shortfallings and other faults.

I think what matters is his speech that he gave. That is what really matters at a time like this.

but does it really if it really doesn't mean anything to him?

I know one person will never please everyone. Maybe if more people were taking a stand like he is right now it wouldn't but he's the lone ranger. ;)

Ron Paul is, was and has been standing up for all that Limbaugh stated today. He was the only GOP candidate last year who truly understood these concepts and applied them consistently and wholeheartedly.

Rush most definitely is not the only one. Not only that, but he himself doesn't even apply his own conservative beliefs to his views, especially on foreign policy.

He talks up a fine speech, but his speech would unite good intentioned true conservatives with the greedy corporate interests that use government to eliminate competition while touting the very same message that Limbaugh preaches.

Good for Ron Paul! :) I'm not a fan of him but still good to hear. I saw some of his speech today as well.

Lounge Daddy

The Republican National Committee is showing how dedicated they are to their conservative base by praising Limbaugh's speech.

No I am just kidding. The Republicans are continuing to join the Democrats over on the left of the center by calling Rush Limbaugh “incendiary” and “ugly.” Michael Steele openly dismissed Limbaugh as nothing but an entertainer. (It's interesting that News Max has been warning for a year now that there are many Republicans who are as interested in passing the Fairness Doctrine as there are Democrats.)

This is the same Michael Steele who recently agreed with liberals that the GOP convention looked like “Nazi Germany. These people say completely different things depending on who they feel is listening, to the point of contradicting themselves. For goodness sakes, John McCain did this repeatedly during the 2008 campaign. They don't realize that this information gets around these days? This isn't the 1980s anymore.

From the Politico:
In a little-noticed interview Saturday night, Steele dismissed Limbaugh as an “entertainer” whose show is “incendiary” and “ugly.”

Steele’s criticism made him the highest-ranking Republican to pick a fight with the popular and polarizing conservative talk show host, and prompted a furious counter-assault by Limbaugh on his show Monday afternoon in which he told the locquacious RNC chair to pipe down and recognize that he's not a "talking head media star."

Steele told POLITICO he moved to stop the feud Monday afternoon with a phone call to Limbaugh.

But the new RNC chairman’s extraordinary comments won’t sit well with the millions of conservative listeners Limbaugh draws each week, and Steele aides scrambled to limit the damage Monday morning by trying to change the subject.
Michelle Malkin's comments on this are right-on:
Limbaugh is an “entertainer,” Steele scoffed — on a CNN political show hosted by a comedian, I might note.

Yeah, so? Rush makes a living selling his opinions and trying to reach as many as people as possible. You did the same as a fellow Fox News contributor. So do I. Does it make your commitment to the principles you espouse any less sincere?

We’ve had one too many Beltway Republicans bash conservatives because they happen to earn a living espousing their ideas.

Profit is not supposed to be a dirty word.
