I cleaned it up a bit and it should be working better now. Please let me know if you find any errors.

Whoa, pope wars. That reminds me of that crazy time when there were three supposid popes at the same time.

Couple things....

1. I noticed that when I travel I rack up debt. Cool. Makes sense... except after playing for a five minutes or so I was able to pay off my debt entirely. Then whenever I would travel, I would travel for free. I'm guessing that's a bug....

2. It seemed way to easy to convert Protestants...for a while I would just click on the catechism and I would convert a Protestant, I would get x number of items, I would immediately sell the items, then I would click on the catechism, convert a Protestant, get x number of items.....this cycle repeated at least seven or so times and when I was up to 66 million or something like that, I lost my faith?

Nihil Obstat

When you lose your items by getting beaten by Protestants, my item numbers and backpack capacity stayed the same, even though they should have gone back to default. Same with torn backpacks that weren't fixed.

It seems that you can buy whatever you want at the very beginning with no ill effects (ie - no debt)... So, I bought a ton of crucifixes and sold them for a killing. Now I'm at 469,321,900.

Possibly more, but I can't see all the 0's.

I got bored when I hit over half a billion.

I think it's "interest" accruing - so if you pay it off then there's no more interest so you "travel for free" - but if you have debt, each "day" brings you more interest being earned on the debt so the debt grows with each visit to another city.

Good point. Honestly I think it would make sense to have to spend a certain amount to travel. Not too much to make the game impossible but it would make it slightly challenging.

Sooooooooooooooo unrealistic....when you debate with people they don't just flop over converted and buy you $100,000 worth of religious merchandise. :lol_roll:

Almost as unrealistic as if you don't happen to be carrying the Catechism, and you instantly lose your faith.
