As opposed to perhaose a Sikh I do hope your brother is ok Edited March 10, 2009 by Hassan

If you have any evidence this was a purposive action, which is a big if as mistakes do happen, I'd encourage you to try to get in contact with Amnesty International or Human Rights Watch. Here is the best advise I can think of even if it is not much. First of all mistakes really do happen in medicine. If you have good contacts with other populations of religious minorities in the area can you check with them to see if there are any other incidents like this? If so a human rights organization, either the UN or a NGO should be able to use statistics to determine if there are a disproportionate number of Christians experiencing medical malpractice as opposed to Sunni Muslims etc. Obviously that will not undo what happened to your brother (again assuming it was not an accident) but it can help bring attention to the situation. Madame Vengier
In a country that is predominately and staunchly Muslim and where their religion teaches them that Christians (along with Jews) are "pigs and apes"....yes, I can believe a Muslim doctor would deliberately try to harm a Christian. I wouldn't go to a Muslim doctor in a foreign country if my life depended on it. In America, yes, but not anywhere else.
