In an interview with GQ magazine:
Steele: The choice issue cuts two ways. You can choose life, or you can choose abortion. You know, my mother chose life. So, you know, I think the power of the argument of choice boils down to stating a case for one or the other.

GQ: Are you saying you think women have the right to choose abortion?

Steele: Yeah. I mean, again, I think that’s an individual choice.

GQ: You do?

Steele: Yeah. Absolutely.
then HotAir has a clarification (not sure?)

Definitely sounds like Hot Air is coming down hard on him--as it should be.

Hot Air for President 2012!

Yeah, wasn't his pro-life position one of the main reasons he origionally became a Republican?

Well his words would certainly indicate otherwise.

Nihil Obstat

This is why I prefer Canadian politics.

MPs stick to the beaver dam party line, come hell or high water, otherwise they're probably going to have a boring, dead end career.

They are one party: the Republicrat Party. They will stand for whatever will bring more power and Government.

I def agree with this. I was just holding out a shred of hope that someone would come along and be different.

Immigrate to Canada and vote en masse for the Conservatives. Then we lobby to get things back to the way they should be.

Who knows, we might not get assasinated.
