I wish I had more options. Two places were interested but now are emailing me back. So...I just hope it works out because it would be awesome. Archaeology cat Posted March 14, 2009 Share Posted March 14, 2009 Sometimes things don't work out the way we think we want them to, but then it turns out to be better that way. For example, my senior year of college was supposed to be spent at the American University of Cairo, so I could focus more on Egyptology (my uni had a Near Eastern and Classics programme, but didn't focus in-depth on Egyptology). That turned out to be the year Bush sent troops to Iraq, there were a lot of protests outside of AUC, and all my classes were cancelled. But, because I ended up at my uni, I got to know the man I would marry a lot better, I got to graduate a semester early, , and of course starting to date my husband was the final push I needed to examine Catholicism (I'd been looking some off and on before).
