So, I'm trying to lose weight, because I want to enter a monastery. I've lost 62 lbs so far, and want to lose lots more.
I was wondering if anyone else was trying to lose weight, or wanted to , or had.
:detective: Enquiring minds want to know!

[size=1]WOW 62!!!!! Thats great!!!!

A couple years ago, I lost 30lbs but gained half of it back.
But now Im trying to lose the 15lbs again and hopefully more!
(I blame it on my height! If I was a foot taller, I wouldnt be overweight! :hehe: )

But yeah! Im not new to the whole dieting thing!
But wow, give me your secrets!!! I want to lose 62lbs too!!

For me, prayer is the key. I count calories and fat, and eat small portions. Every now and then I might exercise.

Wow! 62lbs!! great job!!!

I've been trying to lose weight since I was 10 with no succes. This year I made a resolution to just quit worriing about it and so far I have lost 8lbs.(it's not alot at all, but it hasn't comeback either) with just my softball practices (and a flu lol) and it looks like it's continuing to go down. I"m just eating healthier now and exercising. :)

[size=1]Exercise is the hard one for me recently.
IS SOOO FRIGGEN COLD OUTSIDE I JUST DONT WANNA LEAVE THE HOUSE!!!

But I have my dog for motivation.
I caved one day and took her out in the snow (Bad idea)
See, I have a little small shitzu for a dog, so halfway into the walk, her feet started to get so cold she began to limp.
Now being the compasionate person that I am, I picked her up and shoved her in my coat and walked all the way home with her. (Which was a long way considering the rout we always go on!)

So when i got back, she was happy as a clam and I had back pain.

*Ideal Weights according to the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company tables (1983)

Calculating Your Frame Size
Following is the method the Metropolitan Life Insurance Company used to calculate frame size:

Extend your arm in front of your body bending your elbow at a ninety degree angle to your body so that your forearm is parallel to your body.

Keep your fingers straight and turn the inside of your wrist towards your body.

Place your thumb and index finger on the two prominent bones on either side of your elbow, then measure the distance between the bones with a tape measure or calipers.
Compare to the chart below. The chart lists elbow measurements for a medium frame - if your elbow measurement for that particular height is less than the number of inches listed, you are a small frame - if your elbow measurement for that particular height is more than the number of inches listed, your are a large frame.

Nihil Obstat

Going by averages and BMI I'm technically somewhat underweight.

Those aren't the most accurate sources of course... but yea.
I feel scrawny. :P
