For frame sizes I found this website: http://www.allina.com/CCS/doc/Encyclopedia/2/17182.htm

At 5'9" to have a small frame is to have a wrist size less than 6.25 inches. And uh without even measuring my wrist I can say that if it is 4 inches I would be surprised. And from the chart Hassan has provided...I am smack in the middle of my category at around 130lbs.
Going by averages and BMI I'm technically somewhat underweight.

Those aren't the most accurate sources of course... but yea.
I feel scrawny. :P
Oh yeah those things are crazy, my results suggest that I am withering away.

One thing to realize that to maintain being overweight is hard work. The number of calories required for maintaining my weight is like over three thousand.
So its not just that you're overweight, but that you worked hard to get there and still are working hard to maintain your overweight.
Then that begs the question: What am I getting from being overweight??

I have a friend who used to be just a little smaller than me, before I lost weight.
Now she's a few pounds short of riding a little rascal around. Its sad.

A good practice is to find opportunities to exercise. I just started walking home from the train station, rather than waiting for the bus. It takes me a half hour to walk home. Another good practice is to use stairs rather than elevators.

I've lost a bazillion and still have a bazillion left to lose. I weigh and measure everything that goes in my mouth practically. I several hours of water aerobics a week and when the snow goes away I play disc golf. I actually lost my pants at the mall on Thursday. Luckily it was the inner pair not the outer pair. I was able to hold on to those. I wear two pairs in winter here. I use bungee cord drawstrings because my size fluctuates so much because I have trouble with my lymphatic system. I don't know how those kids walk around with their pants down like that. I felt like I was walking in those shackles they put on mass murderers. It of course happened the farthest distance from the mall bathrooms. I ducked into a bridal shop and used their change room. There is no graceful way to hitch up an interior pair of pants in the middle of a busy mall.
I'm like 6'2'' with a medium to large frame, so I need to loose five pounds.

I can do that in a weekend :smokey:
Haha. Loser. I am apparently right where I'm supposed to be. :D

However, I'd just like to get more in shape....Like I'd love to be able to run for miles....I love to hike though, and hiking is fabulous! I can hike for hours and hours and not get tired, but hiking of course uses different muscles than the running muscles, so I get tired easily when running!

But yeah, actually, my Mum used this exercise book called "8 Minutes in the Morning" and she easily dropped 40 pounds. It also gets you stronger too, and it only takes 8 minutes! :)

Before I got shin splints from weight lifting I ran a lot. I absolutly loved long distance running and would run five to seven hours a day (broken up, like run three rest run two etc).

I remember hearing that at Paris Islam most of the Marine Drill Instructors are short, because large frames just can't take the impact of running as well. Unfortunatly this is true. Now I only ever run like a mile at a time. Even that is tempting fate a bit.

You just have to build up endurance. each time try to run a little faster. Also listen to something so you can zone out and not focus on the exhaustion so much.

I dont like physical activity! BAH! I despise it!

However, one thing I could do days on end is SWIM!
I could swim till my arms and legs fell off.

If God hadnt made me a human being, I think I would have been a fish, honestly!

Unfourtunatly I dont go swimming much either! :(

Side note:

I am a fan of Badminton though! :woot:
And tennis!
I just play REALLY bad!

But they are sports I acctually enjoy.

I am afraid of balls flying at me in most sports. Thats why I dont play baseball, softball, football, basketball, etc.

Tennis is ok cause tennis balls are small.
