I'm just hoping that Bishops are beginning to realize that they haven't paid close enough attention to the education being done out in the sticks. They are cleaning up the seminaries, but now they have to clean up the mess those lax years produced.
The trouble is so many sisters a seem to take their religious education from popular writers than actual church teaching. I gave up helping out when I heard the RCIA [sister] teacher say Jesus maybe didn't know he was God until he was on the cross. I asked her afterward if I heard her correctly since that violated the hypostatic union as discussed in Fundamentals of Dogma and she looked at me like I was crazy. After several more sessions of this type of c.rap, I told my extra son we would smile nicely and do theology at home.

That sounds very much like the RCIA experience I have had here. It would get my blood pressure up quicker than just about anything. Proper catechism is so very important, and shouldn't be left to the Oprah crowd.

Trouble is they are in every parish in just about every diocese, and it seems to me there is rather no-one in particular to control their heresy, since usually the entire order is infected.

I see no difference between them and the little old lady crowd - they look the same, dress the same, sit and discuss cars, shopping, and apartments etc, unless someone specifically pointed it out - you would have no clue they are sisters.

There were a couple of hundred people at our pastoral associate's funeral. Except for the Filipino nuns in full habit, I couldn't tell them apart. I never really thought about that until you mentioned it.

They blend in so well, they are invisible and cease to give any witness to their vocation. Then they wonder why their orders die out.
