I had never even heard of a epidural hematoma before. I've heard of subdural hematoma. Epidural is between the skull and the brain covering, rather than in the brain itself. They said she sent the first ambulance away that the ski patrol called. By the time she felt sick enough to call another one, it was probably too late.
Very tragic. I wonder if she was Catholic as nobody has said. I have worked in a hospital, and I have seen many head injuries. She died of a epidural hematoma due to blunt impact, and sometimes difficult to diagnosis. Prayers for her two young sons.
I SERIOUSLY doubt that she was Catholic - her mother never married her father, and both were quite radical in the way they lived their lives. If she had any religious leanings at all it would four different kinds of a miracle!

Actually, Richardson's parents were indeed married to each other, although they later divorced. I don't know about Richardson's religious faith, but her husband, Liam Neeson, is Catholic. I remember when they got married; I read that a Mass was celebrated.
