prose
Also, I was going for a light ratio of 3:1, so the EV needed to be several stops lower

But yeah, that pic is lovely.
I thought the same thing! Yes. A beautiful picture
franciscanheart
I had to use this light. It was for an assignment. It was simple window light. I actually took the photo and lowered the brightness and color saturation on purpose. I like the faded look on photos as opposed to the bright ones. Maybe it is my monitor, but the one you played with looks WAYYYYY over exposed to me. The backlight I left bright simply because I like the contrast. I appreciate the feedback though.
i did up the expose a bit. also, i was working on a pc. macintosh monitors tend to be brighter. anyway, i liked the picture. i think we just have different tastes in finishes. (faded, darker pictures (in most cases) make my skin itch.) i'm totally a jessica claire or juxtapose bright. *shrug*
prose
Wow... Thank goodness we had this thread. I totally found out today both my monitors at home are not calibrated correctly. Now that I fixed them, I see what you see. I still went much darker than you (not as much histogram adjustment), but wow... was my monitor ever off. Phew.
