Archaeology cat

I tried to convince my roommates at uni that we needed a chicken snake when we had a mouse problem. My first suggestion was a cat, but they said no. They weren't too keen about the snake idea either.

At my house, I voted for a cat. Then I discovered the acquired cat is against capital punishment :annoyed:
Someday I want a sphynx cat. :))
My uncle said he wanted a sphinx cat, too. Maybe once Faux Pas (his polydactyl cat) dies. He's quite old, and the dog herds him.

Yeah, you see, it's really funny because very few people where he lives can actually pronounce it. Kentuckians are masters of mispronouncing French words (the city of Versailles, KY is pronounced "ver sails").

My uncle also has also named his dogs after vacuums (Hoover & Kirby). Actually, he wanted to name one of them Oral Roberts, but my aunt vetoed him. Some of his other cats got their names out of the neighbouring county's obits.

We pronounce it Ver-sails here in Pa as well.
My neighbors St Bernards were named Kirby and Hoover for the way they cleaned up kids cereal :) Now they have a German Shephard named Pia which stands for Pain In Ass. :) He would go up the sliding board steps and lay there, refusing to come down.

Aww... I like kitties.

My cat (well, my family's cat) is going to have kittens. But I don't think she's all that far along just yet...

My uncle almost always has Border Collies or other herding dogs. I think Kirby was an Australian Cattle Dog. They still have Hoover, and now have Beaulina (sp?), too - she's the one who herds the cats, while Hoover herds the fish in their lake. :hehe:

WHAT?! How sad not to like pets at all. I can't imagine not having a pet, really. I've had cats, dogs, sugar gliders, a hedgehog, a skunk (descented), raccoons, frogs, caterpillars, moths, an opossum (OK, it wasn't actually a pet, but it was in the house for a little while until it could be re-released).
