It's official -- 3 experts have agreed...there is no medical explanation as to why Faith Hope Walker is even breathing more or less giggling, sneezing, and opening her eyes.

God can make a way when there seems to be none. It's a true miracle. With "no brain" there should be no Faith Hope Walker... she has been alive now for over 36 days.

"When I was pregnant, I would pray that God would shock everyone when Faith was born, including me. Well, He certainly has done that." -- from a message from the mother.

There is a Facebook group with many members dedicated to her; originally it was a prayer group for the baby because of her grim prognosis:

Faith even sat up at 5 days!

Praise God for showing us the impossible every day.
she's beautiful!
I know, she's absolutely gorgeous.

Nihil Obstat, from what I've seen, at least some babies with this condition (who normally don't live very long) don't even look like they have the top of their heads... I looked up the condition on Wikipedia and saw a very sad picture. The baby had a face up to the eyes, but in between its eyes, a large part of the head was missing. I'm not sure how this baby looks without the bandage, but from what I see and read, she's a beautiful miracle and has beautiful blue eyes.

How wonderful the parents are able to spend this time with their beautiful baby. I'm sure they would feel great loss should the Lord take her, but I'm sure this time will be cherished forever in their hearts.

It just goes to show to God is working in our lives everyday. He loves us so much and He shows mercy.
I wish people who do not believe in Him will stop and just say "wow, this is amazing."

"Jesus, I trust in You!"

"no brain" is in quotes. Why is that? And where is the report of the three experts?

There are varying degrees of anencephaly; I would wager that at least the brainstem is fully formed or the baby wouldn't be breathing at all. I'd like to see an MRI. :) It is still miraculous in any case that she is alive with anencephaly at all though; it is a very serious condition.

Research anencephaly. She is missing most of her brain, except the part that deals with involuntary reflexes. Most babies are almost totally irresponsive and die within the first few days of this condition; doctors hand out death papers when they're still in the womb.

She was seen grasping her ankles to bring her toes to her mouth in the womb; there is a picture. Was that completely involuntary? I don't know.

Read about the child and look at the pictures on the Facebook group site. They're quite amazing. You can see several where she appears to be smiling and laughing, and she looks like a normal baby, except of course the bandage on her head.

As for the three experts the mother mentioned, ask her, as she was in contact with them; you can contact her easily. I don't have the specific information, but it doesn't exactly take an expert to see elements of the miraculous in this situation anyway.

I don't know if there are any cases of ancephaly where the brain is completely nonexistent. I think the brain stem is usually there, but not much else.

Yeah that was my understanding...the anterior neuropore never closes during neurulation and thus the Cerebrum and skullcap are never induced to grow...

I know about anecephaly. That is why I questioned the title. In most instances of the condition I know of there is not "not brain" but rather most of the brain is missing with usually something like a brainstem remaining. I saw the video. I guess for me I saw a very sad scinario. In most instances the girld arms hung down somewhat limply. I mean I did not see a normal child. I understand why the parents wish for their baby to be "normal" but when I saw the video I did not see a healthy child at all. I saw a child who, if I did not see any explination, I would assume sustained some extream brain damage. That may just be me.
