T-Bone _
On March 31 everyone who opposes abortion and wants to let President Obama know about it will send a Red envelope addressed to: President Barack Obama The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Ave NW Washington , D.C. 20500 On the back you should write: "This envelope represents one child who died because of an abortion. It is empty because the life that was taken is now unable to be a part of our world." This would be a great way for all your pro-life people out there to let Pres. Obama know that you don't approve of killing innocent babies. Be sure to put your address on it, otherwise it will just be tossed without anyone reading it. Moosey
I was going to nix putting my address on it for fear of the post office sending it back to me for their own reasons. Should I still put a return address on it?
Theologian in Training
We gave these out at Mass this past Sunday. We ran out before the 12PM Mass and not everyone was able to get theirs at the 5:30. It was very nice to see that

BG45
As a friend pointed out, empty envelopes are either returned or destroyed at the White House usually.
MissyP89
You can always send them to the President of Notre Dame University. Many of the students are doing that, adding that since he'll be meeting Obama at the commencement, he can hand them over personally. Destroying a bunch of envelopes that represent a murdered child. Maybe it'll touch other hearts. Who knows? I personally don't care if it doesn't get to Obama. I do pray for his conversion every day, but the people we need to get to are the people of this nation. It does seem like a great plan to go to the big dog in charge about this, but it's not going to be a snap. I think we need to work our way up. Maybe someone at each post office, just one person, will have a conversion experience.

LouisvilleFan
I stamped seven or eight envelopes and just went around to the people in my office that I know would be interested to have them write their address so I can drop 'em in the mail. Only one guy turned down the offer. He's staunchly pro-life, but said he prefers other methods of getting the word out. So I thanked him and went on. I know these will probably all end up in the trash, but it still feels good to do something. Anyone know if there's a reason March 31st was chosen? Will this become an annual event?
