Hilde
I'm 19 and people keep saying, "Oh I thought you were older". Like well into my twenties or something. I hope I won't always look older than I am.

CatherineM
All... the time. Im an old, wrinkly lady stuck in a 20 year old's body.
I'm a 12 year old stuck in a 47 year old body. I had a birthday last week, and the ladies at church tried to guess how old I was. None got close. I gave them a hint that I was older than my husband. That just confused them. He's all gray, and the only gray I have is in my right eyebrow. He's only 3 months and a day younger, but I did have some fun with them. Someone finally guessed 40, and then I said that my mom was 86, and they didn't want to play anymore. I was 43 the last time I was carded at a store. I get it from my dad. My mom was 8 years younger, but looked 10 years older than him.

txdinghysailor
I feel old a lot of the time, mostly when I hear from friends still in high school, or who are at normal colleges. They've never come close to going through what's happened to me.
CatherineM
Catherine I really want to read your book.
PM me your address, and I'll have them send you a copy with an invoice. It's only $25 that way, postage paid. Other wise it's $35 plus the shipping. I'll even sign it if you want. You can also ask around to see who else has one that will loan you their copy. That's the cheapest. I don't receive any of the proceeds, so it doesn't bother me.

CatherineM
Okay, what's your book about? Because I want to check it out too now...
Oh, it's about something I did when I was very young, and very dumb. What it says on the back cover is, "When a young idealistic Catholic attorney decides to take on the leader of a white supremacist training camp, she has no idea how far she will have to go, and how much it will eventually cost her. A story of faith in the face of adversity." I think that is a tad over the top, but I didn't write that part. I don't receive the proceeds because I didn't want to profit from publicly exposing the most difficult things I've ever faced. To be honest, I only agreed to let it be published when enticed by the idea of giving the proceeds to charity. They are going to publish the works of schizophrenic authors. It's already paid for a collection of poems and three novels to be published. Strange stuff, not really my taste in literature, but is incredibly important for the authors to feel like they are being "heard." If I'd known so many people were going to read it, I'd have left more stuff out. I know it doesn't make any sense to write a book not expecting anyone to read it, but honestly, I thought people would buy it, but not actually read it. The Bus Station
Catherine, if your book is half as interesting as its back cover I don't know who wouldn't want to read it.
