This reminds me of those registries, the "Do not pray for me" lists.

As in "I, the undersigned, an unchurched, unsaved heathen, do not want any of you self-righteous Christians to pray for me, or even offer to pray for me. Regards."
Yet we pray for them anyway...

I've been learning so many different forms of prayer all my life, I can't imagine to even begin to understand how to unpray! *panics*

:rolling:

On the surface this is all just hysterical -- trying to undo or avoid religious practices, while claiming not to believe them.

OTOH, I have to believe that these people are hurting pretty badly to be so nonsensically adamant. :(

Guess I'll have to pray for them all, then.

Quite ridiculous. Of course, I would support them being intellectually honest and going through the procedures to make a formal act of defection from the Catholic Faith so that our numbers would be accurate:
http://www.vatican.va/roman_curia/pontific...ormalis_en.html

but baptism itself cannot be undone. and if they're athiests, they shouldn't even believe it did anything to them anyway, unless they want whatever dirt and skin cells that came off with the pouring on of water back. seems like a perfect case that we should agree to disagree on: we say they're still baptized because it is not possible to undo baptism, and they should (if they were to be consistent) say that they were never baptized because they don't think it's possible to baptize at all.

Heh. Yeah, but don't try and be logical now. You're Christian after all.

I can become the most famous atheist in the world, and write snide books about religion, but I can never be unbaptized. Nope, that's not possible.
