It will usually be right there with the request, or if you look all the way up top (in the blue area), you'll see "Inbox".

BTW--I requested you. Don't feel obligated to add me back, though.

I don't see it.

I was wondering who that was. Added.

There are also one or two Phatmass groups on Facebook that you can use to put names with screen-names.

Just search "Phatmass" and these should come up. Then when you join you can see the group's wall and a lot of folks have a "who's who" post. Like me. For those who remember me. lol

Along the very top of the page are the options to view your Home, Profile, Inbox, and Friends. If you have messages waiting in your inbox there will be a number next to it. If someone adds a message to a friend request then the message should show up on the actual friend request, not as an inbox message. So, Terra's for example, would have shown that she had requested you as a friend and then under her name would have been the message she sent with the request. Sometimes if I recognize the name I add it so quickly I miss the message and notice it just as the page loads so I don't end up getting to read what it says.

Please don't take offense to this Father, but you've always struck me as one of the most technologically savvy people on this forum. You would never know that by the amount of hand holding you're getting over Facebook!

I say this with all due respect and admiration but did you give up being a geek for Lent?

I've been lurking quite a bit. I gave up online gaming for Lent and then actually gave it up entirely now. So I guess I have a little extra time to spend over here again. Don't get too excited. :P

I'm still trying to figure out what you could have liked about "Jesuits in Space"

Well, like I said, I don't do many social networking things, so this is new to me. Give me computer parts and tell me to build a computer, no problem, tell me how to "write on a wall" and I am lost. ;)

Hello Father! I hope you can add me! :D I'm friends with most of the phatmassers on here so I might come up on the "people you may know." There are alot of priests on facebook and some of my local priest (and bishop!lol) are on there. Its GREAT to know about masses they are giving or talks they are presenting at anything in the diocese that we are able to catch.

Also, the best thing about Facebook and Twitter is that there are applications to get the updates on your phone so your altar servers will get real-time changes and schedules or reminder you want to send out. It says lots of time on calling everyone everytime. The same for special events to invite, spread the word and get RSVPs to say a prolife rally or mass.
