Please don't take offense to this Father, but you've always struck me as one of the most technologically savvy people on this forum. You would never know that by the amount of hand holding you're getting over Facebook!

I say this with all due respect and admiration but did you give up being a geek for Lent?
Its because Father is the networking/hardware/hands-on building kind of priest. You have to admit if you are really busy (especially like a priest) its very hard to keep up with all these new things coming up everyday like Twitter.

You are talking about a guy who had an iPhone before anybody. He finds more cool widgets than anyone I know. Plus he can juggle while wearing big shoes. If I had a question about computer stuff, he was on the short list of people to ask. He is the last person I would think would be confounded by Facebook.

My 60 year old office manager had an easier time setting up her facebook page. And I had to have her leave the computer on when she was done because she couldn't figure out how to turn it on in the morning

This is like a guessing game!

Oh Father! Be careful with the applications. They are NOT from facebook but from independent computer programmers from who knows where! If you accept them, they are fun but any information you have on there (including your friends) is now in the third-party hands under their own user agreement. Some people don't mind it but I know I do. lol

But not everyone is as busy as a priest! ;)

There is just too much there, and it is very unorganized. I'm used to something a little more organized and ordered. I still can't find my wall and I am slowly figuring out how to get the search for friends working right.

Besides, it takes me some time to figure things out, but once I do, it becomes easy.

Yeah, and that iPhone is still going strong....got the app for Facebook :)

BTW, I have a pic now, so it is easier to identify me

and littleflower, I am enjoying those little questions. I don't give out my phone number though and I was curious.

Oh, and I figured out how to import my blog.
Along the very top of the page are the options to view your Home, Profile, Inbox, and Friends. If you have messages waiting in your inbox there will be a number next to it. If someone adds a message to a friend request then the message should show up on the actual friend request, not as an inbox message. So, Terra's for example, would have shown that she had requested you as a friend and then under her name would have been the message she sent with the request. Sometimes if I recognize the name I add it so quickly I miss the message and notice it just as the page loads so I don't end up getting to read what it says.
Yep that's where the message would have been. I will post one on your wall too. Hopefully you'll be able to find it, Father. :)
