Gosh -- quite a bit. Especially if they know people are getting taken there. Again, if the Western Governments were interested in peace -- they wouldn't respond with violence. It's not difficult.

They are capable of directing all ships to not go there, apologizing for the dumping that their companies have done while Governments looked the other way (thus making the Governments guilty as well), and paying for the cleanup.

Instead they are allowing ships to continue to travel there. Why? Perhaps this gives Governments an excuse to use military force in Somalia, prop up another "friendly" dictator who will allow dumping there.

If it sounds like I am accusing our Government, and other Governments, of putting citizens in harms way on purpose -- it's because I am.

Its not their ocean. They're in international waters. Thank God our government is willing to stick up to a bunch of guys in zodiacs trying to scare people away from international waters.

Except its not US companies doing the dumping... They were primarily Italian. Last I checked, Italian power companies were not the owners of msm?

Gosh, Somali waters were dumped full of toxic waste. But our Governments aren't interested in paying for clean-up that our Governments are responsible for. Do you honestly hold the position that the Somalis should not defend themselves, should not demand that our Governments pay for cleanup of their land, and should stick to fishing in toxic waters that our Government created for them?

I'm kinda' done with this topic. I accept that many people think that only other people should be held accountable for their actions. Our Federal State has done a great job of influencing people to confuse liberty and license. Statism does that.

They can defend themselves at the UN.

Do you honestly hold that taking hostages, of ships that are not carrying waste or fishing, is ok? Do you honestly hold that taking hostages no matter what the reason is ok?

Taking people hostage always includes the threat of executing them. It's not decent and I have no problem condemning them for attacking non-combatants. They are an enemy. They are also crybabies, complaining that their armed brutes were shot down.
