She saw it coming.[/quote] You can't be serious!!! And if you are... then that is the exact reason why our whole nation has the problem it does is because parents aren't parents ! You can't discipline and always be "nice" that doesn't work! No i don't have any children of my own however I am one of the oldest of a large family and help out with another large family almost daily! You can't be "nice" and expect to keep control -it doesn't work!! Parents need to be parents NOT friends! Pax~ PG

They sell matches and lighters in those stores.
CatherineM
My youngest started screaming in a store once, I looked at him and said, "you think that's a good scream, listen to this," and I let loose with something that might have come out of Ethel Merman if she'd been in Nightmare on Elm Street. Never had another tantrum ever. Got some strange looks in the store, and one mom clapped, but I just finished my shopping quietly.

I dropped him off at the neighbors where he sat in the corner in time-out, while I went back with my other kids to finish the shopping and get ice cream. The lesson never had to be repeated for any of my kids again. Don't try to be sarcastic in a thread like this. It's hard to sense with this kind of topic. Someone said earlier that the mother should have been "nicer." They might have been being sarcastic too but who knows? Im just so sick of people making excuses for kids who are spoiled rotten.
