Aloysius
surprises me that he'd continue to wear his crown while washing the feet. I would've thought that would've been removed in the act. of course, I don't know much about orthodox liturgies, just would've been my intuition on the matter... Groo the Wanderer
SO BEAUTIFUL! covered heads, modest dress, no clowns or liturgical dancers... full regalia for the clergy, lots of smells and bells, tons of icons and beautimusness Dear Lord - please help us to reunite the East and West halves of your Church. Forgive us all the arrogance and pride that caused the separation in the first place. Place a spirit of humility and longing for unity in the hearts of all church leaders. Help us to fulfil Christ's will that all may be one. Amen!

Apotheoun
Is the picture from behind the iconostasis before of after the Words of Consecration?
It looks to me as if it is at the pictures are at beginning and during the anaphora. To be more specfic I would need to see video of what is happening. In the East the whole eucharistic prayer (i.e., anaphora) is consecratory, but the epiklesis (i.e., the calling down of the Holy Spirit) is the most important moment.
