Im afraid most of them are like that though. At least the ones in my town. They're extremely obnoxious and insist upon shoving their agenda down our throats.

When I proposed a new apologetics program for the Catholic Women's League here, one of the points I made is that we needed to learn "how to defend the faith in a world that is increasingly hostile to our Christian values and voices." That was what got it approved. I am seeing an increase in the fear of becoming persecuted here. We are one step away from priests being required to do gay marriage or be branded with hate criminal on their foreheads.

I guess that'd be like the government forcing Catholic hospitals/doctors to perform abortions or Catholic pharmacists to sell contraceptive pills.

Now, there's a gay pride alliance club at my school and as passionate as they are I highly doubt that they would ever stoop so low. There was an event last fall where they had a discussion about the issues of homosexuality and they assured everyone that it didn't matter what you believed, as long as you came to dialogue with them and there were even peer listeners patrolled to make sure that everything would go over peacefully and to step in if need be.
