Moosey not usually because she is the soul of sweetness.

I hated property...

I think I was a born litigator. I loved procedure, crim law and evidence... sadly those were my lowest grades too :(

I hate law school grading. Good way to make you feel like the dumbest person around :(

Finals quickly approaching blah...
Here is my story about evidence. I am in it right now. We had a midterm. I did not read for most of the semester, and for prep for the midterm I basically read through the summaries our prof sent us every week (he is an appellate judge here and is really cool).

I got a 38 out of 40 on the midterm, second highest in the class of 80 people. I don't know how that happened. Now I am nervous to study for the final. What if I study and I mess up my mojo?

How can you struggling for a job!? Sounds like you should be getting the big firms knocking down the door offering 180!

ha! No, that was a complete anomaly grade-wise.

I decided before I started school that I was not going to allow school to completely consume my life. I do well, and will graduate with a B-average in the top half of the class, but I'm not interviewing at any big firms.

I'm really not "struggling" per se. We've pretty much decided that I'm moving toward being able to work part-time, to better allow for raising a family. That's is easier to accomplish doing work for yourself than working in a big firm. Plus I just don't have the drive for the big bucks. I value other things too much.

I'm very nervous about the work-life. I am excited to be married, I want to be able to spend time with my wife and family. It just seems like that is going to be very hard.

Honestly, one of the biggest reasons for me coming to law school was because my dad did the businessman thing and traveled a lot when I was little. We also had to move every 2 years or so. I decided I didn't want to do that and thought "hey a lawyer makes good money and doesn't have to travel\move nearly as much! I'll do that!"

Little did I know how much they demand of your life!

Yeah I am incredibly blessed in my situation, because my husband is well-situated enough financially that I can manage working part-time, or take off a few years, and it will be OK. That was actually something we talked about very early on in our relationship.

I think the key is to have priorities in your relationship that you both agree on and stick to as much as possible, and to communicate a ton about what's going on with your life. My husband works upwards of 80 hours a week, but he always answers the phone when I call, or calls me right back.

Balance is hard to hit, but as long as you keep working on it it is doable.
There was a toad outside my front door just now. I thought it was a leaf until it jumped and scared me nearly to death. Then there are deer all over the place, and rabbits, and wild turkeys (not the whiskey). And bugs. All these things walk around our backyard like they own the place. Pfft. I bet they will eat my garden too.
so is mushy mud pie
I have never gone camping at all.
Last year, several of my husband's siblings and their families went camping. The first night they were there it started raining heavily, and a few hours in they were rounded up and herded off to a tornado shelter because there were horrible storms all over the place. Their campsite ended up being completely flooded because of the storms, and they ended up staying in a hotel so they could dry off after the drenching they received. Luckily they got out before the tornados came through.

Moral of this story: camping is overrated.
