I resent that, cause we all know dogs are loving pets who get along with each other nicely.

Wow. That's interesting. So my science teachers have been lying to me my whole life about how all other countries use exclusively the metric system.

Actually we do use the metric system.
A lot of people just know feet and inches as well.
Because you know, American globalization etc. etc.
It helps when buying American products or reading American material.

No one else seems to think so.

But seriously, anti-americanism is the only acceptable prejudice left.

I always thought anti-Catholicism was the only acceptable prejudice left, thats what the American media has me thinking.

The UK (and I assume some of the rest of the Commonwealth) still use some a lot of weird non-SI measurement.
Units like:
-The Stone, for weight
-The BTU, for thermal uses
-The Foot-pound-second for work is still found sometimes (that's an annoying one)
-Miles/MPH for distance/speed
and so forth can still be found (actually, it's a law in the UK that all speeds/distances MUST be displayed in Mi/MPH).

I love the USA, and am proud of my country...really makes me mad when my fellow Americans are just as anti-American as everyone else. Why are there no patriotic emoticons for anyone besides Texas? Uncle Sam is frowning for heaven's sake!

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that anti-Catholicism is the only acceptable prejudice left...in the United States at least. Our very roots are anti-papist, and Catholics are still a minority.
