Nihil Obstat
Carrie Underwood is definitely not someone that I would admire. She is 100 per cent commericial, and there to be an 'amusement' for us. There are certain things people who practice the occult do to advertise to others who also practice, to show that Satan has annointed and blessed their work. . . In about 10 seconds of the first video I saw of Carrie's, one of those little hidden things they do was clearly evident on the screen. Sorry, I'm definitely not a big fan, nor will I ever be a big fan of hers.
This occult stuff is something you're somewhat obligated to back up with... real facts. Kurall_Creator
disagree. what does her being commercial have to do with anything? Aren't all entertainers in the business of amusing us? Carrie has said she is Christian and although I don't believe she is hard-core, i find it amazingly hard to believe that someone whose second single is "Jesus, take the will" is practicing the occult.
Well, doesn't scripture say, Satan will come masqurading as an angel of light. Half of the people in the Christian music Genre are also practicing the occult. Remember, just don't look at the surface. Plenty of people say that they are Christian. Instead, look at their fruits. I.E. - Obama says he is a Christian, and yet he thinks its okay that 50+ million children have been murdered, because the women who were carrying those babies shouldn't be 'punished'. The fact anybody who has the spirit would want to protect all life to the best of their abilities, no person who would allow the deaths of millions of children could have the spirit, and therefore, his words fall on deaf ears for me. He's not a Christian, and is lying to us. . . So, if Obama can lie about being a Christian, can't others?
Nihil Obstat
So if you're a bad Christian, or a fake Christian, it automatically makes you an occultist? No. Trust me, I'm not one of those people that thinks that occultism is one lame hoax, but this is ridiculous. Also it's on the Lame Board. Stop lamejacking us. Vincent Vega
I'd rather listen to Palestrina. WAIT A MINUTE! I'd rather listen to 16th century music in Latin...Smores would rather listen to Carrie Underwood... Is this some kind of Freaky Sunday thing? I'm scared... I saw that in 10 seconds of watching one of her videos. A good resource for people who want to get into the occult- or others to learn about them to know signifigance of symbolism
Some Pagans may have received-or bought for themselves-a new ring or two. Did you know that the placement of a ring on certain fingers might be interpreted as an insight into your personality? Some people think so. According to Katy in An Evaluation of Rings and Fingers: "The first major factor to consider when analyzing a person's hands is the concept of left and right being reflections of the subconscious and conscious mind, respectively. The left hand is a reflection of man's instinct and those beliefs and attitudes that are buried deep within the subconscious mind. The right hand is a reflection of man's logical mind and those personal thoughts and preferences that are consciously known even though they are not always discussed openly. The second concept of major significance is that of wearing rings on any fingers. The wearing of rings will reveal areas of inhibitions, restrictions, or emphasis in the social realms governed by that finger. And what if a person happens to not wear any rings? Although it is more difficult, it is possible to obtain the same analysis by noting those fingers that are the most prominent, those that are hidden, or those either permanently or temporarily marred." Believe in this theory or not, after reading the article you probably did check out your own ring-wearing habits. While you may have not been aware of what 'banding' a finger might mean-if you ever gave any thought to it all!-the correspondences of planetary or elemental energies to the various fingers is a very old occult practice. If you are interested in Palmistry, you will have learned that the index finger is ruled by Jupiter, the middle finger by Saturn, the third finger by Apollo and the pinky by Mercury. It is the mounds (the soft fleshy 'bumps' at the roots of the digits) that are actually said to be ruled by these influences and the energy then flows into the fingers which spring from those mounds. Most of the esoteric ideas that we Western Pagans have about 'finger energies' come from the studies of palmistry.
Saturn, in the occult, is considered Satan. Anybody wearing a ring on that finger is saying, Satan owns me. That is one of the reasons the war against the occult isn't being won. TotusTuusMaria
as a Christian I don't believe fingers are ruled by any planets. Everyone of them belongs to God and I would wear a ring on any finger I wanted to. I've wore a ring on my middle finger before as well... i've wore rings on every finger. It didn't mean that I was belonging to Satan. Besides listening to a stylist who had her make a supposedly jewelry fopaux ... what else has carrie underwood done that "proves" she is part of the occult? i still can't believe this is coming from a guy who listens to ozzy osborn Edited April 27, 2009 by TotusTuusMaria

Nihil Obstat
There are FAR more constructive ways of combating the occult in our society besides crackpot conspiracy theories. For instance getting rid of Scandinavian black metal. Srsly.
