1. Yes.
2. Depends on what you're using it for/what volume it's at, etc. Mine typically lasts a few days, so total usage time, maybe...between 6 and 9 hours? Something like that?
3. I love mine. I have the D-R verison of the Bible on it, a Rosary app, the Angelus, and things like the Kindle app, so I can download books from Amazon to it, Facebook and Sudoku apps, the pocket piano for composing when I'm not near a real one, and of course, the ones that come with it that are useful, like the notepad, calculator (actually a quite useful sci. cal when the iPod is turned on its side), weather, and of course, YouTube and Safari apps.
I absolutely love mine.

two nights ago i forgot and left my ipod running in my car from 4:30 pm when i got home until 8:00 the next morning and it still had a lot of charge left and it wasn't fully charged when i started it, so you can get a LOT of battery time out of it.

My 80G lasts that long, but the iTouch won't ... it'll only last a couple of hours if you are using it regularly.

My touch lasts for about ~4 hours using it for movies, ~24 hours using it for music, and days at a time using it for apps. I love it. I use the Liturgy of the Hours app and internet apps most often. Some of my favorite games are Oregon Trail, Bejeweled, and Crash racing.

Yeah that's probably about right. Using it for internet is about the same as using for movies.

Never thought I would be able to say this but check my facebook for a list of all my favorite iPhone apps. MOST of them work with an itouch.

When you discover your mom had been on it longer than you, that is when you know it is probably time to give it a chance ;)

She is overwhelmed, of course, by all her friend requests, as a result though

Also, i know you vaguely explained it before, but what the heck is "poke."

My iPod touch is in constant use. I probably run it six or seven hours a day and I don't think its ever died on me. The battery on the thing works great!!

Ha! I can't believe your mom has been on it longer than you. And you so tech-savvy! :hehehe:

The poke is really just a friendly greeting between two people. Nothing of significance.

So, poking back won't incur a lawsuit right? I only ask because you know the law...

And, so I don't completely hijack this thread. I HIGHLY recommend Duck Hunt as your first game or Tap Tap Revenge, both great time killers!

No you shouldn't incur a lawsuit through poking.

And I think the purpose of the original poster had more to do with skyping someone in Canada than it does with playing games. Although I do like both of those games. ;)

Well, I said that so I did not ENTIRELY hijack the thread.

how does skype work on the itouch? Is just the messaging part of it? I mean you can't really talk into it...

I have an iTouch but I have an old one... and the update is $9.99 and I am cheap :(
