dominicansoul
The restaurant, which prides itself on premium aged 10-ounce burgers, sits in a small strip plaza. The burgers sell for $6.95.
10 ounce burgers for $6.95? Dang....
Sojourner
I was not specifically discussing a fashion reporter but the press in general who ate up the "sneaker story."
So, it's not legitimate for the press to cover fashion news? And let me reiterate that this event would have gotten very little attention (if any) were it not for the fact that MO was there.

If the press wants to cover fashion, fine. Like you said earlier, they have specific reporters for that. Discuss it and then move on. What I find unnecessary are the non-fashion reporters who, instead of covering the event, fixate on her wardrobe. You can just Google this. Multiple articles come up. Is it really necessary for there to be MULTIPLE articles about her sneakers? Edited May 5, 2009 by HisChildForever

Once people are bored of judging MO's extravagant taste in fashion, they'll move on. It's just the way things work. If I were working on PR for the food organization that hosted the fundraiser, I'd find some way to use the publicity from the shoes to increase awareness. That could be the silver lining from this whole thing (for them at least), if they're smart.
