Just came to my door, and asked if I'd like to hear their message about a prophet.

I asked them if they believed that scripture was the inspired Word of God, and they just said they were sorry to take up my time.

Maybe my Immaculate Heart shirt and crucifix around my neck scared them away

two young Mormon men on their mission live diagonally across from me. lease says they can't knock on my door (or anyone in the complex), but we chat about faith when we see each other. i keep hoping that the Holy Spirit will open up a chance for me to catechize them.

I was ready to turn off the hockey game and invite them in but they looked pretty nervous as soon as I let on that I knew a little bit... :( :sadwalk:

I'm going to add them to my daily rosary intentions :)

A girl wanted to be really involved in our pro-life work this spring and was mormon. Her and my personality didn't click, but I tried to be nice and she did help some.

Yesterday she invited my mom and I over to her house for lunch she said as a "thank you"... it never occurred to me that perhaps she wants to evangelize us!!

The JWs were out today. They didn't bother me (I was standing with a neighbour in her garden), but they talked to my husband (at our house) for a good bit. I'll have to remember to pray for them.

ETA: I have to say, though, that I do admire them for always looking nice & going out and engaging people.

My Biblical Studies professor asks JW's what translation they use... and they he pulls out his Greek and Hebrew and shows them what it really says... :smokey:

Hmm, perhaps I should bone up on my Hebrew then. I only have an elementary knowledge of it. But if they ask me to recite Genesis 1:1 I'm there. ;)

That's like admiring us for going to Mass on Sunday.

You should open the part of the Bible where God says that if a prophet gives a prophecy that didn't come true then that prophet needs to be stoned. Then, after that, ask them to tell you how it is possible that dark skinned people will ever be white (and the Book of Mormon, the racist piece of filth it is, says dark skinned people will be white, actually says that), and why he thinks someone can be a prophet of God and get something like this so wrong, and be so racist!

Wow

Who knows how much evangelism you did by just wearing it? :idontknow:

I figure I am not going to wear a particular shirt/jewelry/medal just cause it might make some one uneasy. If they think they are right then why are they feeling intimated!
