CatherineM
When I first looked at the picture of the book, I thought it said "Monastic Urinal." I thought it was some kind of instruction manual. It's been a weird day.

Thank you for responding to His call--and in the meantime, entertaining us all here on PM Secondly, it sounds like you do indeed have an awesome sister. I have also have a sister, a younger one, whom I love very much. On the advice of my former spiritual director I am bribing her with gifts so she doesn't kill me when I go to college away from home.
Thanks And I can't agree more - younger sisters exist to be spoiled
That's awesome. Family is great for stuff like this.
In addition, my uncle gave me my granddad's old crucifix (which was on his coffin during the funeral), and my mother (who else?) is picking the framed image of Our Lady I'm allowed to bring. It's so strange - all my earthly possessions will fit in a single small suitcase, but every part of it is super, super-special. I'm afraid I don't feel poor at all!
Although we wouldn't have your future to be any different, you two are going to be missed!
Thank you We'll stay united in prayer! (Those words used to be empty to me, but I learned what they mean.) And who knows, Sr. Rosaleen (the prioress) might decide this forum needs a pinch of Dominican and unleash me after the noviciate. Muahahaha! Er. 'xcuse me. Of course, I will be all grown up and serious by then
Book A one-week psalter, just like the great St. B intended (except for the bit where he gave permission for the Abbot to rearrange the psalter if needs be) (only even then he stipulated that the psalter should be one week long and no longer) (but this is a discussion for Abbots and Novice Masters, not a wannabe like me...) I'm sure I could schedule a day out. It's not like I've been planning any recently

VeniteAdoremus
WIKKIT! If you're coming this way, I'm those two feet sticking out from under a mountain of physics books. But then again, you already know that. So how much longer does your LotH take now? Literally Liturgy of the HOURS?
puellapaschalis
"Little Office of Vatican II" *snort* It's just the day hours, so no two-hour-long Matins. Until I enter and have to be there each day I'm so stoked. And hungry - time for dinner.

One can't just be placing their ribbons willy nilly throughout the Dirunal. Heavens, NO!!!!!! And may I say that one person's placement is NOT necessarily good for someonen else. Actually I think you need ribbons and holy cards....just keep stuffing them in there. That's what I do. Isn't this FUN???

Prime...I have a ribbon ready for kick-off on Monday morning. I've got another ribbon in the Proper of Seasons...and the rest are fighting it out amongst themselves. I'll deal with which antiphons I need at Lauds when I start praying Lauds

Of course since you'll pray it every day (most every day anyway) you'll probably memorize it before long...it's not hard, very repetitive.
