Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
If we believe GOD is omnipotent and can do all things, is it okay to believe that some prophesy is a warning of that if we continue our direction away from GOD that such things will happen, but if we pray in all honesty, repent and believe. That these prophesies can be avoided ( just like Jonah and Ninevah?)

Tab'le De'Bah-Rye
any prophesies of doom. Lets start with revelations(not that i would not like to see jesus and the kingdom of heaven descend from the clouds) but did not jesus say repent and be saved the kingdom of GOD is near(close at hand in one translation i read, and close at hand as a colloquial is " like a faithful friend") Just as a question and dialogue not as in i know all the truth in heaven. KnightofChrist
I would say that such things maybe put off for a time. But they will happen.
Ziggamafu
Last year, millions of sincere prayers were offered up for the intention of a pro-life president. We got just about the most pro-abort president in history. Prayers are only efficacious according to God's will. We may pray, but ultimately things are in his hands. ...here's hoping Obama has a miracle conversion to devout Catholicism that stuns the world. Greater miracles have happened.
