KnightofChrist
Jesus Christ called Peter, the First Holy Pontiff, Satan for his sin for trying to stop Christ's Crucifixion. If He can do that, in this same light it right to call Obama, Hitler, and Stalin and others who butcher the innocent the devil. Obama has greatly sinned for his support of genocide, and the father of sin is Satan.

If He can do that, in this same light it right to call Obama, Hitler, and Stalin and others who butcher the innocent the devil. Obama has greatly sinned for his support of genocide, and the father of sin is Satan.
I actually ran across an explanation of this, due to a debate I was in with a Protestant (who used this as an argument against Peter as our Pope). Source: http://bfhu.wordpress.com/2009/01/30/jesus...have-been-pope/ Q. If Jesus was making Peter His Prime Minister in the Church then why did He call Peter Satan a few verses later? A. Peter was still very human, subject to sin, and the influence of Our Enemy. Because, Peter, in trying to dissuade Jesus from the cross, came under the influence of Satan and tempted Jesus not to take up His cross, Jesus clearly perceived the true source of Peter’s seemingly compassionate words and denounces Satan and his influence on Peter. “Get behind me Satan”. He was addressing Satan not calling Peter Satan. Then, speaking to Peter, Jesus says, You are a stumbling block to me; you do not have in mind the things of God, but the things of men.” This was Peter’s first lesson in learning how to discern the voice of Satan and the Voice of Christ. KnightofChrist
So in the same light the influence of Satan is in the heart of anyone who supports the genocide of babies.

But this does not making the human being Satan incarnate.
Jaime
A direct quote from Mary Ann Glendon
Last month, when you called to tell me that the commencement speech was to be given by President Obama, I mentioned to you that I would have to rewrite my speech. Over the ensuing weeks, the task that once seemed so delightful has been complicated by a number of factors. First, as a longtime consultant to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, I could not help but be dismayed by the news that Notre Dame also planned to award the president an honorary degree. This, as you must know, was in disregard of the U.S. bishops' express request of 2004 that Catholic institutions "should not honor those who act in defiance of our fundamental moral principles" and that such persons "should not be given awards, honors or platforms which would suggest support for their actions."
A direct quote from Lost in this World
i do not necessarily have a huge issue with him speaking but rather him receiving the honorary degree.
Anybody who is going to question LitW's Catholicism, please send a letter to Mary Ann Glendon and tell her what a horrible "In Name Only" Catholic she is as well. They are stating the exact same opinion

Didymus
No one used it in that sense. Dominic used it in the same sense as Christ did for Peter.
How the hell do you know how she used it?? The second time she posted that nonsense she said "obama is the devil himself" --far beyond the words Christ used as we know of them in the Bible.. [mod]personal attack--IP[/mod] why do I even put myself through this and check out these political threads only to see this gibberish and nonsense? You can't tell the difference between a man and the devil himself???? Even the man spoken of in the Bible who deserves to have a millstone thrown around his neck and thrown into the sea wasn't even the devil... What she SAID was that he's the devil.. THE DEVIL... If that's the pro-life movement then to hell with it.. there are no babies and women being saved by this insanity... honestly, did we actually run out of the perfectly fine arguments we had only to spew this gibberish? And i dont care if i get a warning for this. I deserve it and need it.. and should probably take a break from phatmass for awhile. The ignorance of the few here astounds me.. it just completely baffles me that we feel the need to stoop to this..
