CatherineM Posted May 25, 2009 Share Posted May 25, 2009 If I were Pope, I would put out a qualification in simple language as to how bishops are to handle certain issues, such as pro-choice politicians or liberal teachers in seminaries, and the bishops would follow them in obedience, or they would be replaced. I'd send bishops who didn't obey to pastor mission churches to remind them they are supposed to be good shepherds first. Probably a good thing I can't be Pope because I'd probably make so many people mad that the church would be stripped to saying mass in old closed drive in movie theater lots.
