How, exactly, do they test soup on animals?

"Mr. Chimp, sir, is that new-and-improved 'Bean and Bacon' soup to your satisfaction?"

better reason to boycott.[/quote]

For that sort of claim, I'd need:

a) substantiation, and
b) a life-friendly alternative

before I'd boycott.

Is the manufacturer of the OS you're using 100% free of guilt in this arena? (I use Windows XP, anf I'm certain Microsoft is pretty liberal.)

Nihil Obstat

Sounds like a pretty great life to those animals to me. Heck, I'd do it.

Lay around all day, them feeding me soup...... Mmm, yummy. Except I don't like tomato soup.

I know that with a lot of animal testing, particularly cosmetics, they would put the substance in the animal's eye to see the kind of reaction it sparks.

You already asked me this on AIM, but here it goes. :)

I always see the word "inhumane" as "against human nature." Our human nature is to be moral, spiritual creatures - to follow and to love God. To act contrary to that is to be inhumane.
If you beat on an animal, you are grossly misrepresenting what it is to be a human being. It's our job to protect the animal and respect it as God's creation. By being violent towards an animal, we act contrary to God's role for us and contrary to human nature itself. While animals ARE lesser than human beings when it comes to respect and dignity, it's just plain cruel to the animal as well (albeit on a lower level).
